Present and past
Working as an Organisational Change Project Manager with The Royal Bank of Scotland, I came to realise that the traditional tools of organisational change were wholly inadequate for the needs of contemporary business.
After gaining a PhD in Management Science at The University of Hull I established an organisational change consultancy business working across all sectors and international regions.
In parallel, I continue to conduct research and have written a book on Quality Management (now in its 2nd edition) and over fifty published papers. I am Visiting Professor in Managerial Cybernetics at Liverpool John Moores University and a Fellow of the Cybernetics Society.
Vision and values
I was 32 before I discovered a purpose for my working life - which is to influence management! I am passionate about working with business leaders and helping them discover how much better life can be in a truly sustainable organisation. I joined Telos to work with people who share the same passion and beliefs - and whose knowledge and skill sets complement my own.
Virtues and vices
My principle vices are a passion for perfection and impatience with bureaucratic organisations. My principle virtue is that I am NOT an accountant!
