SUSTAINABLE SUCCESS ESSAY COMPETITION 2023

Once again, Telos Partners has teamed up with Young Enterprise to launch its annual essay writing competition.
Young Enterprise is a national charity that specialises in enterprise and financial education, empowering young people to harness their business and personal skills.
If you are aged between 14-18, you can enter the competition by submitting a piece of writing addressing the following challenge:
“Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others.” – Jack Welch
Using your own thoughts, ideas and experiences, what do you believe are the qualities of a leader that is able to lead an organisation not only to short-term success, but one that will be successful for many generations to come?
The winner will receive £1,000 and up to four hours of mentoring/coaching with a Telos Partners consultant. The second and third-placed entries will win £500 and £250 respectively.
Entries close at 12 noon on Monday 15 May 2023. The winners will be announced at the Young Enterprise Company Programme Final to be held on 6 June 2023.

“Taking part in the essay competition gave me the opportunity to explore and deepen my understanding surrounding a really interesting subject matter. Winning the competition gave me more confidence in my essay writing ability which has helped me in all aspects of life and the mentoring sessions with Telos were invaluable! Thank you so much for everything!”

2020 Competition Winner

“I initially entered the competition to reflect upon my own experiences having participated in the YE company programme and to share what I learnt about business leadership and success. But I now feel that my confidence in writing about a subject that I previously knew very little about has been lifted, and the competition has really helped me in this way. Winning the Sustainable Success Award was such an incredible honour that I am so grateful to have achieved, especially since I believe the message in my essay was an important one which applies both within and outside of the business world.”
