So what was the impact?
The company started to grow again in 2023. It now has a healthy pipeline of orders, a positive operative result and has returned to net profit.
In that time, Telos Partners’ support with the three conferences has enabled the CEO to:

• Generate significant positive momentum, which is growing year by year
• Encourage others with influence in the organisation (though not necessarily the CEO’s direct reports) to become advocates for the change

Noting the momentum created by the Global Conferences, the CEO explains how the ongoing initiatives that were featured are now multiplying across the organisation.
‘I see that we can cascade the momentum,’ he says, adding: ‘After the last Group Conference, we had at least 120 people fully engaged. With the initiative we are launching on addressing the customer’s problems through innovation, there are at least another 40 people actively engaged and these people, in turn, can engage others in our organisation.’

Client story
The newly-appointed CEO of a global industrial manufacturer faced a serious challenge.
Difficult market conditions (including the impact of the pandemic) meant the business he had joined wasn’t performing. Revenue had fallen significantly and the company had recently reported a multi-million euro loss.
This left the CEO with some tough choices.
After careful consideration, he decided to restart the company through a capital injection from the shareholders.
Having secured agreement to recapitalise, the company’s governance was completely transformed as it moved from a family business to a company with a new shareholder structure.
It had a new management team (not all but many leaders had been replaced) and 200 people had left the company at the same time as others had joined.
Now, the company had a renewed ambition to explore fresh opportunities as it looked to create a clear path to a sustainable future.
This was the point at which the CEO turned to Telos Partners to help him put the company’s people at the centre of the transformation that was under way.
